USB Development kit

USB Development kit with PCWH

The USB Development Kit includes a 3" x 1.75" USB prototyping board that has a PIC18F4550, an external USB controller, and a function generator. This board is used in the exercise book to show simple human interface applications and a high speed example emulating an oscilloscope. PC software (with source) is included to communicate with the USB board. The USB Development Kit includes a USB demo board using the PIC18F4550, Microchip's PIC® MCU with full speed USB peripheral.

Two example programs are provided with the CCS C compiler. The first example is how to configure the board to act as a HID device, the second is an example how to configure the board to act as a USB device that accepts and receives bulk mode transfers. Not only is the C source code provided, but Microsoft Windows applications and source used for both examples are provided.

The CCS USB examples are also compatible with the Microchip PIC16C7x5 USB peripheral, which CCS also provides C source code with the CCS C compiler. To develop with the PIC16C7x5 you may purchase the CCS Software Prototyping Board and attach the optional USB connector (USB Add-on).

USB Development Kit includes:

  • PCWH Compiler
  • USB Prototyping Board
  • In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer
  • Exercise Booklet
  • 9V AC Adapters and Cables

    DSP Analog Development Kit

DSP Analog Development kit with PCDIDE

The DSP Analog Development Kit demonstrates the DSP features of the dsPIC33FJ128GP706 on an audio conditioning board. The Texas Instruments TLV320AIC23B Audio Codec allows the user to sample microphone inputs and produce digital signal outputs. The TLV320AIC23B permits sample rates up to 96 KHz and the dsPIC®DSC running at 40 MIPS renders plenty of horsepower for user applications.

The prototyping board includes an on-board 32K external EEPROM and SD card for expandable memory. External memory allows the user to store audio files and configuration data. Exercise booklet includes examples for reading/writing to the codec using the DMA peripheral. FAT libraries are included in the CCS C Compiler.

The character LCD included on the prototyping board provides a user interface for quick development. Development kit comes equipped with a 4" x 3.2" prototyping board.
